How to Reach Haridwar

  • By Air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (35 km).
  • By Train: Haridwar Railway Station is well-connected to major cities.
  • By Road: Haridwar is accessible via NH-58 from Delhi and other nearby cities.

7 Nights / 8 Days Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar to Uttarkashi (Gangotri Route) – 200 km / 7 hrs

  • Morning departure from Haridwar.
  • En route, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi.
  • Stay overnight at a hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 2: Uttarkashi to Gangotri – 100 km / 4 hrs & Back

  • Early morning drive to Gangotri Dham.
  • Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River at Gangotri.
  • Perform darshan and return to Uttarkashi by evening.
  • Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 3: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi – 220 km / 9 hrs

  • Drive towards Guptkashi via scenic mountain routes.
  • En route, visit Tehri Dam & Rudraprayag Sangam.
  • Check-in at a hotel in Guptkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Guptkashi to Kedarnath – Trek / Helicopter

  • Early morning drive to Sonprayag / Gaurikund (30 km).
  • Start the 16 km trek to Kedarnath Dham or opt for a helicopter ride.
  • Perform evening Aarti at Kedarnath Temple.
  • Stay overnight at Kedarnath (budget guesthouses available).

Day 5: Kedarnath to Guptkashi – Return Trek

  • After morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple, trek back to Gaurikund.
  • Drive to Guptkashi and rest at a hotel for the night.

Day 6: Guptkashi to Badrinath – 220 km / 8 hrs

  • Drive via Joshimath, Narsingh Temple, and Vishnuprayag.
  • Check-in at a hotel in Badrinath.
  • Attend Aarti at Badrinath Temple in the evening.

Day 7: Badrinath to Rudraprayag – 160 km / 6 hrs

  • Early morning darshan at Badrinath Temple.
  • Visit Tapt Kund, Mana Village (Last Indian Village), and Bhim Pul.
  • Drive towards Rudraprayag and stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 8: Rudraprayag to Haridwar – 160 km / 6 hrs

  • Drive back to Haridwar via Rishikesh.
  • En route, visit Devprayag (Alaknanda-Bhagirathi confluence).
  • Drop at Haridwar by evening.
